Supporting private landholders through the Land for Wildlife Network within Koala Arks of the Northern Rivers Project
Project Overview
This initiative empowers landholders in the Northern Rivers Koala Arks region to participate in the Land for Wildlife program and engage in habitat restoration efforts that directly benefit the local koala population.
Objectives
- Offer local training and guidance on Koala habitat management, with a focus on addressing pests, weeds, and fire risks.
- Facilitate landholder registration into the Land for Wildlife program.
- Assist landholders in planting Koala food trees and fostering Koala habitat regeneration.
- Provide support for landholders in developing fire management plans.

We are working in collaboration with the Border Ranges and Richmond Valley Landcare Network to deliver this project across the Northern Rivers.
