Red Soil Mentors Upcoming Event

The Red Soil Mentoring Group, a network of individuals dedicated to caring for the land, is delighted to invite rural landowners interested in bush regeneration and reforestation to an event focused on the restoration of a 25-acre ex-dairy property along Maguires Creek. With over 45 years of ongoing rehabilitation efforts, this property serves as an example of environmental rejuvenation.

Join us as we explore and discuss the weed control methods employed to revitalize the site and understand how these techniques can be applied to your own land. The event will offer a unique opportunity to witness the outcomes of two decades of planting and conservation efforts.

Date: 2 July 2023 Time: 9.30 am – 12pm Location: Alstonville

The event will be hosted by the Red Soil Mentors, a group of like-minded individuals from the Ballina Hinterland who regularly gather in an informal, outdoor setting to share knowledge and practice bush regeneration techniques. By visiting various properties, they aim to foster a community of land custodians dedicated to sustainable land management.

To make the most of this hands-on experience, please remember to bring the following items: gloves, long sleeves, boots, hats, and a water bottle. Tea and coffee will be provided.

To secure your place at this informative event, please RSVP by contacting Caroline at 0444 531 377 or via email at woodhead4@gmail.com. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
